Airlines Sold Pricey Tickets to People Affected By Hurricane Irma, But Look What Delta Airlines Did

Aside from the obvious human and real-estate loss that followed after Hurricane Harvey’s strike in Texas, many pets were also affected by the storm. While some were evacuated, many were left stranded, isolated and/or dead.

Now, Delta Airlines has organized a pet rescue mission that allows Floridians leave the state along with their pet, just in time for Hurricane Irma’s hit.

Delta Airlines orchestrated free rides for humans and pets that are able to fit in the cabin, not calculating the provided $75-$200 fee. Then, something else happened as well. The airline company also cut fees on luggage and limited all Southern Florida flights to $399, even though costs for these kinds of tickets would escalate, given the circumstances.
