Apple Stuns With Horrible Easter Graphic in Texting App

Millions around the United States celebrated Easter on Sunday, but if they were to search “Easter” in their Apple messenger applications on their phones, they’d likely be stunned by the results.

James Hasson, a contributor to The Federalist, first pointed out the results. The first search result showed a GIF of Jesus being fed an Easter egg on the cross with the caption, “Cadbury’s creme Easter egg. How do you eat yours?”

Others noticed the shocking results below the GIF of Jesus:

One woman pointed out that “Apple doesn’t curate” the GIFs or “approve individual GIFs,” but they certainly do monitor search results.

Ironically, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook previously criticized Google and Facebook for their lack of monitoring. “I don’t believe that the big issue are ads from foreign governments. I believe that’s like 0.1% of the issue,” he said. “The bigger issue is that some of these tools are used to divide people, to manipulate people, to get fake news to people in broad numbers, and so to influence their thinking.”

IJR reached out to Apple regarding the matter, but did not hear back at the time of publishing.
