On Tuesday, Fox News released a statement on Fox News host Sean Hannity following the recent revelation that he was associated with President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen.
In a statement to The Daily Wire, Fox News wrote:
While FOX News was unaware of Sean Hannity’s informal relationship with Michael Cohen and was surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, we have reviewed the matter and spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support.
The statement from Fox News comes after the media seemed to blow the revelation out of proportion as CNN’s top six stories on their site were negative hit pieces on Hannity.
In response to the revelation, Hannity tweeted:
Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter. I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees. I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective.

Hannity continued by saying that the conversations that he had with Cohen “never involved any matter between me and a third-party,” and that the few times he talked to him it was about real estate.
