If someone had asked Colin Kaepernick where does he see himself in five years, I am not convinced he would choose this very scenario.
Going from a prestigious NFL quarterback to a basically jobless athlete, has turned Kapernick’s life upside down. However, he only has himself to blame.
So, the next time someone asks you why Kaepernick is out of job, here is what you can easily say:
1. He refused to stand for the national anthem:
The San Francisco 49ers didn’t think long after this incident to break ties with Kaepernick for good. As per Kaepernick, he refused to stand due to America’s disrespect for the African-American community.
2. Getting on to one knee for the national anthem.
the second incident followed shortly after, when Kaepernick refused to stand during the anthem, boycotting racial aggression.
3. Anti-cop socks on display

4. Strutting in a Malcom X shirt, which reads “Like Minds Think Alike.”
CONTROVERSY CONTINUES: At a post game news conference, Colin Kaepernick wore a T-shirt with former Cuban Leader Fidel Castro and Malcolm X. The shirt – which had photographs of their meeting in 1960 – read: "Like Minds Think Alike."

By favoring Fidel Castro, Kaepernick probably sealed his career for good.
5. Going after the President, noting the U.S. have “never been great” for people of different color.

“He always says make America great again. Well, America has never been great for people of color. And that’s something that needs to be addressed. Let’s make America great for the first time.”
Mind this, Kaepernick was an individual of color, who was given the privilege of earning millions, and he dares to rebel?
After being kicked off the 49ers, Kaepernick has been struggling to find a team that would sign him. Although The Baltimore Ravens showed interest in him, his girlfriend posted a photo comparing the Ravens owner to a slave holder, a scene similar to the one in Django Unchained, closing every open door Kaepernick had so far.

Fox Sports analyst Clay Travis commented on this:
Every NFL owner will see this Tweet and think, what’s the benefit here? Why would I employ a guy whose problems exceed his talents, a guy to back up my starter that if everything goes well will never see the field at all, when he’s likely to do or say outlandish things that alienate the customers of my business? And when everything his crew of social justice warriors does will also create a never ending media circus around my team?
He was later turned down by The Miami Dolphins, that decided to sign Jay Cutler instead.
Here is what ESPN stated:
Sources say at least one other NFL team has wanted to add Kaepernick to its roster, but the move was blocked by the team’s owner.
Kaepernick in now beginning to realize that the land that enabled him to prosper and thrive, can also be his demise. And the worst part is, he has no one else to blame but himself.
