Country Music Stars Respond To Vegas, Urge Americans to Do One Thing for Those Affected by Shooting

America was left devastated and in mourning in the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting. While many paid tribute to all those who lost their lives, country music icons took the tragedy to heart way more than anyone else.

As you know, 64-year-old shooter Stephen Paddock began shooting from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, where people were attending the Jason Aldean concert. In his violent attack, Paddock managed to kill 58 people and left over 5000 wounded. Such a bloodshed has never been seen in US history to date, leaving the citizens speechless and unsure of how to grieve.

Still, for many country music performers, the starting point was to, well, pray. Many legends of the genre used the word of God to approach the horrifying incident and posted continuously on social media.

Some of the names who sent out prayers included Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, LeAnn Rimes Cibrian, and more. Led by the strength of God, these celebrities wanted to express the sadness in their hearts and the will to see people do better. Jason Aldean himself, who held the concert where people were killed in cold blood, posted on Twitter a message that both explains what went down and asks people to turn to their faith during these troubling times:

“Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still don’t know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe,” the singer explained, according to Breitbart. “My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.”

The human-on-human violence, much like any other, has taken a drastic turn for the worst. HThe families who lost a loved one, or who are still uninformed on family members and friends need our support and help at this time. Asking that God holds us all united is important to do, because, when everything else fails, faith will prevail. Faith that everything will be better, faith that we will get through this horror.

The shooter, Paddock, showed no will to be human and to love others as he loved himself, therefore he will face the ultimate judgment. We have become a nation of divisiveness, but if we keep our faith straight and our willpower strong, there will be no defeating us as both humans and Americans.

Let’s turn to Isaiah 41:10 for a minute and repeat: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

What we miss is not love, it is loving. Let’s work on that while keeping God in our hearts. Please pray for everyone affected by this inexplicable and inexcusable deed.
