CNN faced serious backlash from Eric Trump, after senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta said US President Donald Trump’s “fake news” allegations are bad for the democracy.
Acosta tweeted his smug comment Monday morning, bashing the President and his patrons for accusing CNN as “fake news,” claiming it “may feel good to some” but was bad for the country.
“Calling the American news media ‘fake news’ may feel good to some. It may energize the base. But it’s bad for our democracy.”

The President’s son was quick to fire back against the left-wing journalist, attacking the network and Acosta for giving debate questions to Hillary Clinton prior to CNN’s national broadcast of the presidential debate.
“Suddenly @CNN has a moral compass?” he said in his tweet.

Eric Trump’s comments refer to reports that network correspondent and ex Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile deliberately leaked debate questions to democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.
This isn’t the first time Jim Acosta has thrown stones the Trump family. Earlier in June, Donald Trump Jr. attacked the journalist after the news anchor attacked President Trump for posting the now infamous ‘body-slamming’ wrestling video.
