During a Keep Families Together rally over the weekend, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) responded to the new wave of death threats she has received after she called for people to harass members of the Trump administration while out at public places.
“And I know that there are those who are talking about censuring me, talking about kicking me out of Congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me,” Waters said.
“All I have to say is this: If you shoot me, you better shoot straight. There’s nothing like a wounded animal,” she continued to cheers and applause.

“I am prepared to make whatever sacrifice is needed to be made,” she added.
The increase of death threats comes after another rally in which Waters said to create crowds to “push back” on members of Trump’s administration.
“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said.
During the rally on Saturday, Waters also made it clear she will not stop until President Donald Trump is impeached.
“I am not about to let this country go by the way of Donald Trump,” she said. “We are sick and tired of him. He’s been there too long. They dare me to say ‘Impeach him.’ Today, I say, ‘Impeach 45.’”
