When Hollywood actor Tim Allen’s show on ABC was cancelled many suspected it was due to the fact that he is a strong supporter of President Trump.
So far, ABC has kept the reason for their move low key, but now they are speaking up on the subject.
The liberal media got criticism from various outlets as well as politicians for doing such a low move on Allen, although the show was doing amazing by that point.
Moreover, the show was second rated in viewership, right after “Modern Family” as first.
Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years. #lastmanstanding

ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey now loudly claims that the entire decision was never about politics in the first place. Here is what he noted:
“Politics had absolutely nothing to do with it — we have actors on our shows who have all sorts of different political views.”
She then asserted Allen was relevant piece in their network puzzle of success:
“Tim Allen is a valuable part of the Disney ABC family and has been for a very, very long time. Last Man Standing’ was a show that, several years running, kind of came up to the very end in terms of the renewal, which was the same case this year.”
As she explained, canceling the show “was a disappointment to me because it was a high-quality show that was very well done.” But ABC apparently decided the show was redundant and not really what the network needed.
The show supposedly should have been taken over by Country Music Television, but everything went down the drain after salary discussions kicked off.
