On Tuesday, abortion became a not-so-taboo topic, after Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore’s spokesperson, Janet Porter, opened up and shared her opinion on the subject.
Moore, who is going face-to-face with Doug Jones, has a very firm stance on the topic of abortion, or against it, unlike his opponent who shares more liberalistic opinions on the matter.
Jones even told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd that he “want(s) to make sure that people understand that once a baby is born, I’m going to be there for that child. That’s where I become a right to lifer.”
As result of this popular opinion, Porter spoke with CNN’s Poppy Harlow, who is pregnant, and said:
“Congratulations on your unborn child,” Porter stated boldly.
“That’s the reason why I came down as a volunteer to speak for Moore because he will stand for the rights of babies like yours in the womb, where his opponent will support killing them until the moment of birth.”

Americans across the country jumped at this statement almost instantly.
Many entities and publications, such as ThinkProgress, stated that Democratic candidate Jones has a mild approach when it comes to abortion, stating back in September that he wouldn’t propose a limit to late-term abortions.
He was asked regarding his comments afterward, to which he replied:
“To be clear, I fully support a woman’s freedom to choose to what happens to her own body… Having said that, the law for decades has been that late-term procedures are generally restricted except in the case of medical necessity. That’s what I support. I don’t see any changes in that. It is a personal decision.”
This is a poor effort to answer a question that requires more thinking.
Lefties, on the other hand, are certain the topic of abortion shouldn’t be approached as it was during the interview.

Wow — this @PoppyHarlowCNN interview with Roy Moore spokesperson.
Poppy is conducting a clinic on how to conduct an interview and prevent a flack from changing the subject.

Well, that was a horrifying display by Roy Moore’s spox on CNN just now, but I guess he’s gonna win.

Abortion is a topic most would prefer nothing else but avoid at this point, therefore whoever dares to speak about it, is seen as an intruder. It is as if we were in a Harry Potter movie and abortion was the one who ‘must be named.’
However, it is high time we stop fooling ourselves and give ourselves the chance to openly speak on the matter and share opinions as well as raise awareness on the subject.
It is only then when we’re prepared to talk about what we do to unborn babies, that we’ll realize this is a huge issue that needs to be addressed openly…for the sake of our country.
