White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders recently gave an open interview into her family life, her career and the way she deals with haters on daily basis.
What’s even more, Sanders felt it was very important to mention her religion and speak up on the subject to raise awareness.
Sanders’ father is ex-pastor and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and just like him, she is an evangelical Christian who takes to her faith every day before entering the press briefing.
Take a look at the interview excerpts:
“I certainly didn’t approve of a couple of the comments,” Ms. Sanders said of her time on Mr. Trump’s campaign, where she served as an adviser and on-air surrogate. “But at the same time, we were looking for a commander in chief, not a pastor.”
“Oftentimes, people want to make politicians perfect,” she added. “And that’s one of the actual beauties of Christianity, is understanding that no one is.”
Although she offered a personal view of the matter, many Americans bashed her on the internet, saying she is genuinely fake, a “hypocrite,” “fake Christian,” and definitely not the one to have read the same Bible as the rest of the population:
One thing is certain – liberals won’t ever let Republicans take pride in their faith and belief system. It is simply sad and mind-boggling that misconceptions and hatred are their favorite things to play with.
